How do I connect my GitHub repository?
After signing in, go to your dashboard and click "Add Repository". You will be prompted to install the BuildCast GitHub App on your account or organisation. Select the repositories you want to connect and BuildCast will automatically start listening for events.
How do I connect a social media account?
Navigate to Settings > Connected Accounts in your dashboard. Click the platform you want to connect and complete the OAuth flow. Once authorised, the platform will appear in your content editor as a publishing target.
Can I edit AI-generated content before posting?
Yes. Every piece of AI-generated content lands in your content editor as a draft. You can edit the caption, change the target platforms, swap images, and schedule the post for a specific time. Nothing is published without your approval.
Why did my post fail to publish?
Common reasons include expired OAuth tokens (reconnect the platform in Settings), rate limits imposed by the social platform, or content that violates the platform's policies. Check the post status in your dashboard for specific error details.
How do I change my subscription plan?
Go to Settings > Billing in your dashboard. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings > Account and click "Delete Account". This will remove all your data, including connected accounts, content, and media assets, within 30 days. This action is irreversible.
Which AI providers does BuildCast use?
BuildCast uses a multi-provider AI system with automatic fallback: Groq (primary), Google Gemini (secondary), and Anthropic (fallback). This ensures reliable content generation even if one provider experiences downtime.
Is my source code shared with AI providers?
No. We only send commit metadata (messages, PR titles, issue descriptions) to AI providers for content generation. Your actual source code is never shared with third parties.
Troubleshooting
Posts not appearing on connected platforms
- Check that the social account is still connected in Settings > Connected Accounts
- Reconnect the account if the token has expired
- Verify the post status in your dashboard for specific error messages
- Ensure you have not exceeded the platform's rate limits
GitHub webhooks not triggering content
- Verify the repository is connected in your dashboard
- Check that the GitHub App is installed and has the correct permissions
- Ensure the event type (push, PR, release) is enabled in your repository settings
- Check the webhook delivery log in GitHub (Settings > Webhooks > Recent Deliveries)
AI content generation is slow or failing
- BuildCast automatically falls back between AI providers — wait a moment and retry
- Check the BuildCast status page for any ongoing incidents
- If the issue persists, try regenerating the content from the content editor
- Contact support if the problem continues
Billing or payment issues
- Check that your payment method is up to date in Settings > Billing
- Ensure your card has not expired or been declined
- Contact your bank if the payment is being blocked
- Reach out to support@buildcast.app for billing assistance
